PHOTOS: Cobb’s most expensive home on the market has 551 lightbulbs

The home at 4340 Paper Mill Road is selling for $5.5 million, the realtor said in January 2018.

The symmetrical home at 4340 Paper Mill Road has the highest asking price, according to Zillow, of any home in Cobb County these days.

All eight bedrooms, 10 full and two half bathrooms inside the three finished floors that sit on 2.2 acres started selling for $5.5 million in January 2018.

“And I’m giving it away at that price,” realtor Glennda Baker told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

It has since lowered to $5,250,000, according to Zillow.

There are 157 windows and 551 lightbulbs in the 16,023-square-foot mansion, Baker said.

This is all situated inside Atlanta Country Club a mile from the Chattahoochee River.

Baker said the current occupant, who wished not to be named, wrote up what they love about the home: “The first time we drove by our jaws dropped as we marveled at the symmetry, the size, the many windows, and the possibilities.”

The owner went on about the home’s location.

“It’s convenient to the city, yet close to the walking trails of Sope Creek and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. It is within chipping distance to the Atlanta Country Club links, yet tucked away on a road lined with gas lamp lit estates.”

Baker said there’s the salt water pool and four verandas along with a regulation tennis court, but one of her favorite spots on the whole property is the dining room.

She explained that it has a Venetian plaster wall installed with 97 tiger eye topaz glass lighting features backlit by LED lights.

There’s also a wine cellar, a gym and a theater inside the home, which was finished in 2011. Outisde, there’s the pool and lounge area.

“We love to sit out there and listen to the birds or accompany the dogs to the back of the property. It is there, just past the tennis court and the conversation fire pit area, that we pause and turn, just to look back at the home itself and realize the magnitude of what we have built,” the owner wrote.
