Recruiters will be searching for prospective hires at WorkSource DeKalb’s job fair at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Job seekers can register for the free event online and must create a profile on the WorkSource DeKalb website. Registrants can expect assistance with training in industries such as healthcare, information technology, transportation and construction.

Attendees will also learn about Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (or WIOA) requirements, interact with training providers and learn about high demand careers.

The job fair is a part of WorkSource DeKalb’s Workforce Wednesday, designed to connect DeKalb residents with training opportunities and potential employers. The event was also created to equip employers with tools to help potential hires overcome employment, education and economic development barriers.
