Man charged with murder, arson in Sandy Springs house fire

A fire in Sandy Springs has left one person dead, authorities said.

Sandy Springs police have charged a man with murder, arson and aggravated assault in connection with a house fire in which a woman was found dead.

The victim was 39-year old Amber Holliman, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.

Cause of death is still being determined.

The suspect is Patrick Joseph Nolan, 43, Sgt. Sam Worsham said Sunday. Nolan may be driving a blue 2006 Ford Explorer with a Georgia tag PYZ1420.

“Mr. Nolan is believed to be armed and dangerous and is currently at large,” Worsham said.

He is believed to have his dog with him, a 160-pound presa canario.

The fire was in the 500 block of Hammond Drive, authorities said.
